The following 10 locations have geological/environmental features so strange, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve taken the wrong wormhole home and landed up on another planet entirely. From the bright pink Lake Hillier on Australia’s Recherche Archipelago’s island to surreal turquoise shards of ice sticking up out of Russia’s Lake Baikal: all of these unreal places look like they could come from the pages of a science fiction novel, or from the workshop of a talented special effects nerd (who has a lot of time on his or her hands).
