The Countdown Begins

An online course, a broken arm and some serious inertia have kept me from enlightening and entertaining you with Why? Because Science. Only one of those reasons is a decent excuse, as broken limbs tend to be. This very morning, I woke up at 03h30 with an idea burning inside my head and a terrible yearning in my chest. So, I pulled out the laptop and began to write. Furiously so.

On Monday 13th May, the beat drops dubstep style and I will be returning. Why? Because Science is back, bitches…

Author: Thea Beckman

Canadian born and South African raised, Thea Beckman AKA Wander Woman Thea, is an experienced travel, food, and wine writer and (amateur) photographer with a devastating love of all of the above. She is a travel bug, a bookworm, and mildly alarmed by how many arthropods she can be at once. When she’s not writing for a living and for pleasure, she enjoys bird-watching, reading, drinking wine, cooking, and SHORT walks on the beach because the summer southeasterly winds in Cape Town are a real bitch. Thea is the author of the book “Why? Because Science!” Facebook @WanderWomanThea Instagram @wander_woman_thea

  1. bout time. was starting to get REAL grumpy without my dose of ‘Why? Because . . . ‘

sorry bout the arm, Thea. never broken one of those, but know it’s a pain in the posterior . . .

    1. It IS about time, isn’t it? I felt terrible almost every day about not splattering my mental meanderings across the Internet. The silence is broken! Yes, the arm is a pain in the posterior… it’s also a pain in the arm. On the upside, I could win an arm wrestling match against the hulk with my right arm, which is now embarrassingly huge.

      1. lol . . . many puny humans have been so brave as to try take on the hulk – but i don’t think any of them wore plaster at the time. i do remember them ending up that way as a matter of course, though . . .

so quick question: i am busy with a project and could really use your help in an advisory capacity – but i don’t want to jinx it by making it public quite yet. is there an e-mail address i could use to ask privately?
